Mr. Ravindran Veliyambara is an exceptional entrepreneur, multi-industrialist, and philanthropist, serving as the proprietor of the Hotel Blue Nile 4-star group, Blue Nile Beach Resort, Cannanore Home Furnishings, and Lifestyle Garments and Exports. Born into a traditional weaving family in Kerala, he started weaving at the young age of 12. His industrious nature led him to set up home-furnishing exports at the age of 18, which now export handloom products to major markets including Europe, Australia, GCC, Japan, and the USA.
Anticipating the growing demand in Kannur's hospitality sector due to the development of the Kannur International Airport, Mr. Ravindran expanded his business footprint. His hospitality projects include the flagship Hotel Blue Nile on SN Park Road, the scenic Blue Nile Beach Resort at Payyambalam Beach, and the upcoming Hotel Blue Nile International at Mangattuparamba, Dharmashala, Kannur. In addition to his business success, he is the founder of the Solace Old Age Home, serving as its treasurer and founding member for the first ten years, providing critical support to seniors in need.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Ravindran Veliyambara has received numerous accolades for his business leadership and philanthropy. These include the Outstanding Industrialist Award in 2003 from the North Malabar Chamber of Commerce, and representing India as a member of the ITPO handloom promotion delegation to the UK and Germany in 2003. He was also honored with the MTVA business achievement award in 2010, the Kannur Rajan Puraskaram in 2012, and the Kala Kairali Puraskaram. He continues to contribute to the handloom sector as a current Governing Body member of the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Kannur.
